Which Life Will You Live?

just a random pic..
little India..

Sometimes, when we become adults, we don't just growing up. But we also growing apart. The thing is, it's our decision to choose what kind of 'growing' that we want. Growing independently, growing together, or else. I've got my own story of that.

After entering college life, I got some new insights, and prespectives of course.  Now the fourth is pretty excellent. It's kind of the right word, excellentThree of my biggest changes are about desire in digital, deepen mandarin and transformed the langauage of the blog.  As I joined website course in first semester, I've had a considerable interest towards digital world. My interest was getting bigger when I learned more about startup, E-commerce, digital marketing too, etc.

Economically, there is tremendous potential in the digital world to be exploited and that's why become an IT-preneur is one of my ambition. IR is a great instrument to opened up some macro insights too, I never felt that I'm in the wrong track.  Beside digital, learning chinese culture is another thing that opened up my insight. Not because I'm an.. oriental, but it's because there are huge opportunities if we can speak chinese fluently. Since I'm a digital enthusiast, digitally let's make the 'Alibaba' as the example.

Alibaba has invested in many other E-commerce and Marketplace and it's belongs to chinese man. Tokopedia even has been reached by them. Demographically, China got more than one and a half billion population. But, it's only in China. How about Singapore or Malaysia or Thailand or any other countries where there are many chinese populations as well? See? That's why people like Mark Zuckerberg has a huge interest on China, and Donald Trump loves to say China, China... China. In early conclusion, it's a huge.. huge... and huge.. opportunities if we got an ability and some knowledges in politic + technology, and mixed it with mandarin ability.

If there's a huge external change for me, it'll be in the scope of friendship. If I'm in the deep relations, I'm not a kind of 'hard to let go' person, but maybe just 'hard to forget'. For me, if  something isn't worth anymore, just let it go. But let it go doesn't mean I forget. Damn, It's so realist and constructivist in one hit, isn't it? Okay, I choose to growing up independently rather than growing up together in case of friendship. It's all Because of different vision.

Have you ever heard a popular quote "You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. Beware the people you hang out with could boost or hinder you greatly."? Well for me it's not just a quote, it's an applicable theory.

Kind of different

When something change, it could be a problem. But when something doesn't change at all, it could be a big problem. That's me in college life, and some of my friends in high school. I've a group of friends that pretty close. Traveling together, gather together after the bell rings, and so on. Growing up, I still hanged around with them, but since the third semester maybe the hanging out became less. I've to admit if I got a different vision with them. Some of them still kind of childish, and some jokes are just less wise. The peak was when we were in junk food restaurant. So, it was around 2 AM that time. They were playing game of shooting, and I wasn't playing any game on the phone and I dont have any interest to playing that game. So I was just watched, feel sleepy, and went home first.

It's not about the game, playing games at any ages are fine. It's about the different path. Growing up is about upgrading our prespective. As I've said before, When something change, it could be a problem. But when something doesn't change at all, it could be a big problem. Well I was just felt like I'm a college student in the high school friends relation that time. At the end we're still friends, but with less 'hanging around'. Not as massive as we were in high school.

Which life will you live?

A change is needed, that would be the main moral message of this post. New insights, new qualified relations, and new method to manage our life, when something doesn't change at all it just simply means if it's on the way to its saturation point. So, which life will you live? Waiting for saturation point, or change something? I choose to change. My biggest change in this blog was when I started to write using english. Well I've to admit if there must be some broken english at first when I massively write using english, and maybe until now there's stay still. Well it's a part of my process, it's not a problem. The problem is when I knew I'm on the way to my saturation point and I dont change anything.

This blog was published 4 years ago with 4 years domain which means this year the domain will soon be expired. Four years were long enough, so when I've bought another 4 years domain until 2022 this year, I decided to make a massive change on this blog, with english. Since transformed the language, I'm started all over again. Luckily, some of my movie posts before in bahasa Indonesia consistenly got a 'good' number of viewers. So, even my english posts in traffic at beginning and throughout this year wouldn't really impressive, I still got a good SEO in many movie posts. I also joined many foreign blogging communities and that's kind of great discover.

Maybe next after it seems like I'm gonna reached my saturation point again I'll use spanish, arabic, mandarin, or else, no one knows. I'm curious to implement my SEO knowledges with english anyways. And according to my experience once, the price to write a 'brand review' in english was more good than in bahasa Indonesia. So, let's just back to the question: which life will you live? Mine would be a life where we can be a passionate person and fight for what we like. And I think I'm in the right life right now. That's all, that's kind of life.

Hahaha, Baidu isn't interesting for me, by the way China in Mainland doesn't really adorable. Taiwan & Hongkong are more interesting

    1. Well it's got a little bias. I didn't say I'm tranforming it from Chinese to English, but I got a desire to deepen my mandarin, just like that. I was tranforming it from bahasa Indonesia to english btw.

  27. "When something change, it could be a problem. But when something doesn't change at all, it could be a big problem." Life is all about our ability to change. Our ability to be adaptable and flexible to the things happening within us and around us determines our success. While it can be hard to change (such as you highlighted when separating relationships) often we find that it is necessary. Thank you for the reminder.
